Buffalo, NY - Work Day (Day 32)

Today was mostly prep work installing the yokes to lay the mast in when they take it down Monday.  Fortunately, I saved the yokes from my previous trip through the Erie Canal.

Here is a shot of the debris (driftwood) that collects around the boats and docks. It is constantly changing and a real hazard. Not sure of the source? Could be from the lake or the river or both?

The Buffalo River and Canal is a busy shipping area. Here is a ship being towed to the grain elevator.

I put the dinghy in the water and went across the river for dinner in the evening.  Here are a few closer shots of the Navy Pier ships:

Sat around on the docks in the evening enjoying the cool evening air and watching the boats go by.  They set off fireworks after the ball game on Friday evenings but I didn't get a photo of that.

EVENING ON THE WATERFRONT

I will help with getting the sails off the boat and preparing for un-stepping the mast after the new owners arrive.  Then I get to go home on Sunday.  I am very ready for a break!
