Caribou Island


There was some movement at night since the wind was more north then west and there were small waves coming around the north end of the island, but it was not uncomfortable.


This is a wild and remote island simply because of the lack of anchorages.  You are really anchoring in the open but with good sand bottom.

 In the previous blog I mentioned the history of the owner and his endeavor to live here in retirement.  The island, though Canadian, now is owned by the Nature Conservancy.  They do not limit access...yet.
