Killarney to Little Current

Stayed in Little Current for two nights and enjoyed good food and great entertainment at the Killarney Mountain Lodge.  Out until midnight both nights listening to a great local folk singer.

Stayed on a buoy which was cheaper by about half ($25) but could have used a recharge of my batteries.

Early Morning Going By The Sportsman's Inn - Killarney
Great place to eat!
Left for Snug Harbor right after, this was a good hurricane hole and full of boats (18) waiting out the winds.

Snug Harbor - 18 Boats At Anchor!

I left early the next morning for McGregor Bay and Usual Reasons Cove on the east end of the bay.  McGregor Bay was only recently charted.

Usual Reasons Cove - Excellent Kayaking In This Area

Usual Reasons was a good anchorage and we had seven GLCC boats for a couple nights.  I did some hiking up to the top of the mountain (see pics below) and some kayaking.  Very enjoyable place.  Happy hour every night at 5 pm ashore.

McGregor Bay to Little Current - 08/08 - 19.1 NM
Departed for Little Current and now I'm stuck there with higher winds, but plenty to do.  Two nights already and will stay at least another night.  Got fuel, did my wash, checked battery fluid.  Now I need to buy some wine, groceries, and maybe get a haircut.

We had 18 out for dinner the night of my birthday at the Anchor Inn.  Great time!  Also, happy hour on board various boats each night at five.  Still quite a few boats stuck here in Little Current.  Sunday weather improves.
