Lay Day 1-Lorain, OH (Day 24)

0700-Got up after a good night's sleep for a change! Longest rest in a very long time. Went through the standard morning routine. Made sausage omelet, toast & jam, OJ, and more coffee.

0915-Called Beaver Park Marina to let them know I would come early Friday morning. Be at the dock at 0700. Windy again today. That will give me time to prepare, do some wash, top up water and fuel, and take off panels to be ready for work tomorrow.

1000-Took wash up to do and while it was churning away I walked around and took some pics.

IMPRESSIVE WALKWAY
BUT LONG WALK TO THE BOAT!

LITTLE SANCTUARY CLOSE BY

1300-Wash finally done, went back to the boat and had a cold beer and chips. Hooked up the water hose and topped up the drinking water jugs. Took a little break and then started clearing all the gear out of the aft cabins and removing panels so the guys could access the cables.

LOTS OF BOATS!  BUT NOT MANY PEOPLE AROUND, IT WAS LIKE A GHOST MARINA (TOWN)

CLOSER SHOT OF LIGHTHOUSE

Brought expense sheets up to date. had to take my key fob up before they closed at 5 since I will be departing at 0600 in the morning, they don't open until 0900. So I'm locked in currently!

1730-Working on a nice steak dinner, baked potato, hot roll, and red wine. I'm out of chocolates! Will relax the rest of the eve. I'm all watered up, fueled up, powered up, all panels have been removed, so I'm ready. Winds should be perfect tomorrow.

1815-Finished steak dinner will do the dishes, listen to some music, sip some wine and enjoy the evening.

LARGE INVESTMENT IN BRICK, CHAIN, AND POSTS!

DUCKS RESTING
HOPE HE DOESN'T NOD OFF AND FALL IN!
